BiographyAt just 24 years old, Edison Hatter has already gained voluminous experience in the racing industry, despite starting his work just a few years ago in 2019, when he started as a backup announcer at Rosecroft Raceway. Hatter continued announcing at Rosecroft through the early stages of the pandemic while also learning other jobs at the track, including charting and photo finish. He worked at Rosecroft for more than three years through October 2022. In January 2021, Hatter started as the full-time announcer at Freehold Raceway, a position he still holds. He was a member of the Meadowlands on-air team from April 2021 to August 2023, routinely providing coverage on TVG on weekends and online race-by-race analysis. Hatter also assumed the morning line making and program analyst duties at the Meadowlands following the passing of colleague Dave Brower. Hatter has partnered with In The Money Media, Woodbine Entertainment Group, Caesars Entertainment, and other tracks and groups around the globe to produce a weekly harness racing podcast, First Over with Edison Hatter. The show has seen continued growth over the past few years since beginning in 2021 and Hatter now has several co-hosts that regularly contribute to the show. Hatter was honored by USHWA in 2023 as the Breakthrough Award winner and as the 2023 Phil Pines Award winner by the Goshen-Monticello USHWA Chapter. Finally, Hatter has served as a fill-in announcer at Yonkers for the past several months and will continue to do so into 2024.
