Back in the day before the 2:00 mile, no one ever thought that record would be broken. Then, when horses were closing in on a 1:50 mile that milestone seemed almost impossible too. Now with the top horses racing in 1:48 or better, do you believe a 1:45 mile is attainable?
Yes, definitely within the next few years
Yes, but give it a decade or two
Perhaps, but not in my lifetime
Very unlikely, I would say almost never
No, 1:45 is just not realistic
