BiographyJeff Gregory, chairperson of USTA District 12, is one of the top catch-drivers in the sport of harness racing. The third-generation horseman has been involved in the sport his entire life and has been driving since 1984. The son of Sue and Gary Gregory grew up in Churchville, N.Y., and moved to New Jersey full-time in 1999. He currently resides in New Smyrna Beach, F.L. with his wife, Helene. Gregory was raised with a very strong work ethic, and is currently training and driving a stable in New Jersey. His biggest victory as a driver came when he piloted Jalopy to the title in the 2005 Hambletonian Oaks. In 2011, he won the Breeders Crown 3-Year-Old Colt Trot with Chapter Seven. He is a three-time USTA District 8 Driver of the Year and was the U.S. Harness Writers Association’s 2002 Rising Star Award winner.
