BiographyJacquie Ingrassia has been active in harness racing as a driver since the 1960s. She has more than 1,100 lifetime victories (only Bea Farber-Erdman has more victories among female drivers) and has more than $6 million in career earnings. After teaming up with the famed Arden Homestead Stable in the mid-1990s, she has trained only trotters. In 2000, she became the first woman to ever win a Triple Crown event when she guided Goalfish to the winner’s circle in the Yonkers Trot. She won the Goldsmith Maid in 2004 with Aeronautess, a Striking Sahbra daughter, owned by Ingrassia and the Arden Homestead Stable. She also combined with Sandi Fisher to become the first woman to complete both ends of a daily double. Among her other top horses over the years are Zitomira, Valeris, Hot Off The Press, Gladhand, Turn The Paige, and most recently the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes leader of 2022 - Dandy. Ingrassia is an inductee of the Jersey Shore Sports Hall of Fame. She served for 25 years as a director of the Standardbred Breeders and Owners of New Jersey and is a member of the Standardbred Pleasure Horse Organization of New Jersey and Farm Bureau of New Jersey.
