BiographyMatt Sparacino, chairperson of district 11, has been employed at Harrington Raceway since 2000, starting as Publicity Director and progressing to his current role as Assistant GM of Racing and Director of Public Relations. A graduate of Towson University, Sparacino earned a degree in Mass Communications and worked at Baltimore-area ABC affiliate WMAR-TV as a sports producer and was a sports writer for The Star-Democrat prior to coming to Delaware. He is also the current President of the Delaware Valley Chapter of the United States Harness Writers Association, a position he has held for approximately 23 years. On a personal note, Sparacino is an accomplished and competitive runner who competes in up to 40 races annually. He lives in Delaware with his wife and two sons.
