Biography

Michael Carter is the Director of Racing at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows. A native of Virginia, Carter got his start in the sport working as an announcer at the Shenandoah County Fairgrounds. In 2013, he landed the announcing job at Buffalo Raceway before moving to Northfield Park two years later. During his time at Northfield, Carter branched out and worked with several other racetracks as an on-air personality covering major events. He was also one half of the groundbreaking Post Time with Mike and Mike podcast, alongside fellow announcer Mike Bozich. Carter has served as Chair of the Strategic Wagering Committee since 2023. He has two daughters, Amelia and Anabelle, and a Goldendoodle, Lexi.
