ROCKNROLL HANOVER got tripped out second over, vaulted off the hot fractions, and scored easily off a perfect trip at 2-5. LEADING X AMPLE followed the winners cover, and was left in his wake when that one was set down for the drive. GRYFFINDOR left hard, got a third-in trip along the cones for his efforts, found room in the middle of the raceway and closed well for show money. GOLD DUST BEACH was forced to pull the four-hole entering the final turn, made a strong first-over bid through a quick third quarter, and dug in well to finish fourth. UP FRONT CHARLIE was off slowly, opted to stay along the cones when the outer tier formed, and closed evenly on the inside. RODDYS BAGS AGAIN followed Up Front Charlie and had no shot. AMERICAN IDEAL brushed hard down the backstretch to gain command, parked out a surprisingly good first-over challenge by Gold Dust Beach , and gave in to that one at the head of the stretch. I ZEE tried to make a three-wide move from fifth-over, and could not gain any ground. VILLAGE JOLT was parked three-wide from the ten hole while driving for the lead on turn one, yielded readily to American Ideal on the backstretch, and faded badly. CAMS FOOL actually got blindswitched while fourth-over, and never had a chance.
