JEREMES JET left hard from mid-pack to get to the front, yielded to the favorite on the backstretch, tracked that one into the stretch, angled out and drew clear as a game winner. WESTERN CYCLONE followed the winner in the three-hole, found clearance to get outside, and closed stoutly to gain place honors. WESTERN ACE was patient from the rail, made a long first-over bid through the final turn, and held well despite the tough trip. PERFECT UNION followed good cover third over, kicked wide into the lane, and closed evenly. ARTSTANDING was first off the gate, but aborted the leave attempt in favor of the five hole, got locked in along the cones, and finished well with no room. PALONE RANGER was driven hard down the backstretch to get to the front, met pressure on turn two, and folded. SHARK GESTURE had a perfect second-over trip, got a bit steppy coming out of the turn, and did not fire at all from there. BARTOLOMEO N found himself behind great cover third-over, and could not threaten from there. SEA DRAGON dropped in from the nine hole, and never made a move. FAUST BLUE CHIP got into the flow late and fifth-over, but showed nothing.
