Biography

Joe Pennacchio is chairperson of USTA District 6. He is a past president and current director of the Florida Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association and has been in the Standardbred business since the early 1990s. He is a passionate amateur driver, was named the U.S. Harness Writers Association’s Amateur Driver of the Year in 2018 and, most importantly, loves the horses and this sport. A retired CEO who spent most of his career in department store retailing, Pennacchio’s last assignment was as the president of Jordan Marsh department stores in Boston. Since the early 2000s, he has served as CEO for consumer products companies that execute both manufacturing and distribution, and has had significant experience running companies with both U.S. and foreign facilities. He has also served on several boards for both private and public companies.
