Owner and operator of Hinshaw Homestead Farms in Richland, Iowa. Over 40 years as a Standardbred owner and breeder. Campaigned Jodevin 2,1:59, the 1976 national two-year-old trotting champion, and winner of 21 out of 22 starts; Curtain 2,2:03.1, the fastest two-year-old trotting gelding on a five-eighths mile track in 1983; and Installed 3,1:59.3, winner of the Windy Skeeter Trot in 1987. Founder and past president for 19 years of the Hawkeye Colt Association. Past president of the Iowa Harness Horse Association. A World War II veteran. Born and raised in Richland, Iowa, where he resides with his wife, Janet. They have two sons and two daughters.
