These Official Speed Ratings are based on comparisons of individual times at one
track with the same horses' times at other tracks over "fast" or "good"
tracks at a mile distance. Additionally, the fastest mile of 2005 at each track is shown, as well as the median win times (half were faster, half were slower) for 2005 on a "fast" or "good" track.
