SEEKING YOUTH LEADERS AMONG RACING FANS, PARTICIPANTS
Columbus, OH – Are you a racing fan or participant who also works with youth? Can you write a lesson plan and a training schedule? Tie a tongue and teach scouts to tie knots? If so, please raise your hand and let us know who you are.

The USTA's Outreach program, in conjunction with the Harness Horse Youth Foundation, is compiling a list of current youth leaders and/or teachers who are involved in or knowledgeable about harness racing. The end result will be a database of adults professionally connected to young people in their community who can in turn provide guidance and help in planning and carrying out future USTA/HHYF youth events across the country. The attraction between children and horses is a strong one; we're looking to use that connection to benefit young people and make lifetime racing fans.

Youth leaders could be teachers [elementary, high school or college] Boy or Girl Scout leaders, FFA instructors, 4-H advisors, Sunday school teachers, who are involved in the sport as current or past owners, trainers, drivers, breeders or fans. This is a chance to share your enthusiasm for the sport and help us teach young people about our sport and our horses. Please click here to tell us about yourself and how we can get in touch with you.
