Shadow Play wins opening elimination of Little Brown Jug

Shadow Play took advantage of a pocket trip to win the $58,797 first elimination of the Little Brown Jug in 1:50 on Thursday afternoon at the Delaware, Ohio Fair.

Owned by trainer Ian Moore, R G McGroup Ltd. and Serge Savard, the son of The Panderosa-Matt's Filly matched the stakes record set by Mr Feelgood in 2006. David Miller was in the bike as Shadow Play won for the tenth time in 19 season's starts.

Lonestar Legend rolls in 1:49.3 in second Jug elim

Royal Wire Products Inc. and United Process Control Co.'s Lonestar Legend protected his starting position on the rail and romped to a stakes record 1:49.3 score in the second $58,797 Little Brown Jug elimination on Thursday at Delaware.

David Miller was in the bike for trainer Don Swick as the Western Hanover-Precious Shopper lad scored his fourth win in 12 '08 starts. He has now banked $201,778 this year and $258,861 lifetime.

Art Official guts out win in third Jug elimination

Heavily favored Art Official overcame a slight bobble on the first turn and a rough trip to win the third $58,797 Little Brown Jug elimination in 1:52.3 on Thursday at the Delaware, Ohio Fair.

Owned by Sawgrass Farms LLC, trained by Joe Seekman, and driven by Ron Pierce, Art Official posted his 11th triumph in 17 season's starts and added to his $1.3 million career bankroll.
