Hall showing definite signs of improvement
Thursday, November 5, 2009 - by John Pawlak, the U.S. Trotting Association

Columbus, OH --- Driver Justin Hall continues to make progress in his efforts to recover from injuries sustained in a racing accident on Aug. 31 at the Noble County Fair in Caldwell, Ohio.

Earlier this week, USTA Director of Officials T.C. Lane visited Hall at Dodd Hall at The Ohio State University Medical Center and reported that the progress Hall has made is quite visible.

“He climbed eight flights of stairs; two sets of four,” Lane said. “His verbal skills and ability to recognize are also improving. He was asked who I was and he said ‘T.C,’ not in a strong voice, but he recognized me.”

Big Dee’s Harness is in the midst of conducting a benefit raffle for Hall at the Standardbred Horse Sale in Harrisburg, Pa., through Nov. 7, and will do the same at the Blooded Horse Sale at the Delaware Co. Fairgrounds in Delaware, Ohio, Nov. 16 through 19. A list of the items that can be won in the two raffles may be seen online at: www.bigdweb.com/EventsAndShows.aspx.

Tickets are priced at a minimum of $5.00, and all proceeds will be donated to the Justin Hall Rehabilitation Fund. For those who want to participate in the raffle but are unable to attend either of the sales, advance tickets are being sold in Cleveland and Lebanon by Barb Porter, Bill Long, Heather Miller and Mary Randall.

Also, contributions to defray medical expenses should be sent to a bank account opened on Hall’s behalf: Send contributions to the Huntington Bank, Justin Hall Donation Fund, P.O. Box 106, Chillicothe, OH 45601.
