Monticello, NY --- A 31-year veteran of the gaming industry, James (Jim) Rafferty has recently been named Vice President of Marketing for Empire Resorts’ Monticello Casino and Raceway in Monticello, New York.

Mr. Rafferty has held senior management positions in the casino industry from 1978 to the present, including Vice President of Marketing for Delaware North Companies’ Wheeling Island Racetrack and Gaming Center, in Wheeling, West Virginia, from 2003-2006. While with DNC, Mr. Rafferty also participated in the design and development of three New York State racinos owned by DNC as well as acting as a consultant for the opening of the Hippodrome de las Americas in Mexico City.

Mr. Rafferty is a founding principal owner and President of New Hampshire Charitable Gaming, which owns and operates The River Card Room in Milford, New Hampshire.
