Manzi and Bartlett injured in accident at Freehold

Freehold, NJ --- Cat Manzi and Jason Bartlett were injured in the sixth race at Freehold Raceway on Saturday (Oct. 24).

Approaching the homestretch, Allamerican Idol, who was on the lead throughout, broke stride and caused Fireintheshark with Bartlett aboard to swerve outside sharply and unseated him.

Manzi who was driving Royal Man, was behind Fireintheshark and could not avoid the sudden happenings and was catapulted to the track as a result.

Both drivers were taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune for medical treatment.

Live racing resumes at Freehold Raceway on Wednesday (Oct. 28) with a 12:30 p.m. post time.
