Columbus, OH --- This Saturday night (Oct. 3) at Northfield Park, the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association (OHHA) will be kicking off its campaign to defeat Issue 3 on this November’s ballot.
Saturday is “Night of Champions” at Northfield and the OHHA is focusing its efforts to build a grassroots organization to inform horsemen and fans alike on the negative effects that Issue 3 poses for our industry.
OHHA will be holding a meeting for horsemen in the paddock prior to race time and will also be set up in the grandstand to pass out campaign literature and to provide information on our campaign: We need your help, vote no on Issue 3.
In an effort to help fund our campaign we are asking that horsemen, owners, and fans contribute to our effort as we are working for your way of life. You can do so by sending a personal check made out to P.A.C.E.R. and indicating that you would like to contribute to the Vote No on 3 Campaign. Mail the checks to P.A.C.E.R., 800 Michigan Ave., Columbus, OH 43215.
With any further questions on how to become involved with your campaign, please call or e-mail: Jerry Knappenberger, General Manager OHHA, (614) 221-3650, JLKnappenberger@ohha.com; Mark Robinson, Campaign Director, Vote NO on 3, (740) 360-0912, Robinsm6@muohio.edu; or Joe Ewing, OHHA Board Member, Campaign Staff, (513) 314-6240, Byfalcon@aol.com.
