Friday, August 28, 2009 - by Amy Hollar, for the Ohio Harness Horsemen's Association

Northfield, OH --- Horsemen from around North America have generously been donating items this week in support of Joe and Lyndell Adamsky. Lyndell Adamsky is currently undergoing routine follow-up breast cancer therapy with the support of her husband, who has spent the past couple years recovering from a training accident.

Trainer Steve Elliott has donated a Pennsbury jogcart, Hawkinsville Training Center has given two stalls for the season, and photographer Sally Shaffer will present prints of her work and a month of boarding at Autumn Lane Farm.

Midland Acres and Cool Winds Farm will also offer a breeding to one of their yet-to-be-determined studs. Amy Wildman’s staking services will also be raffled, along with four Cleveland Indians tickets for the Sept. 29 game against the White Sox.

Individuals and firms such as Marty Wollam, Ivan Sugg, Mickey Burke, Dan Kennedy, Herman Brickell, Big Dee's Tack and Scott Ashbrook have all pledged support. Others, from Canada to Florida, have been in contact about donating.

The drawings will be held in the paddock on Ohio Super Night, Sept. 5th at Northfield Park. Tickets are $5 each or five for $20, and may be purchased from Jason Roth at Scioto Downs, Amy Hollar at Northfield Park or by contacting Bill and Terri Mt. Pleasant.

For more information, call Amy Hollar at (614) 778-5905, or the Mt. Pleasants at (330) 608-7486.
