Fair Roundup: Racing concludes at Ottawa, Ohio

Edgerton, OH --- The Putnam County Fair at Ottawa, Ohio concluded its two-day meet with 10 races on Thursday evening.

Trainer Mike Evans and driver Russell Swartz teamed to win both divisions of the 2-year-old colt pace. Hez Automatic (Mantacular--Waverly Road) took the first split in 2:04 for owner Ronald Keller, while Show Me Glory (Dawn Ofa New Day--Sandy's Wild Card) captured the second division, in 2:02.3. Jason Solomon and Mark Nolan pick up the bills on Show Me Glory.

Sassey Sauterelle (Ilooklikemymom--JH Sauterelle) found the winner's circle in the first division of the 3-year-old filly trot after a mile in 2:04.3. G.B. Reddin owns Sassey Sauterelle with John Konesky III, who is the filly’s trainer-driver. Sweet Loretta (Pegasus Spur--Get Back Jojo) took the second division, in 2:05.2, with Roy Burns handling the lines. Herb LeVan trains Sweet Loretta and also co-owns the filly along with Jerry Lyon.

Jeff Dailey guided Lady Latke (Family Firm--Thebestisyettocome) to victory in the first of three splits of the 2-year-old filly trot. The filly trotted the mile in 2:11.1 for trainer Jim Dailey and owner Down the Lane Stables. The second division went to Mary Ann and Patrick Konesky's Lofty Mom (Ilooklikemymom--Lofty Sahbra), in 2:12. John Konesky III is the trainer-driver of Lofty Mom, and her win completed a perfect four-for-four for Konesky at the Putnam County Fair. The final division went to Hiny B Hurtin (Armbro Laser--Angies Nugget), in 2:11.4. Richard Householder is the owner-trainer of Hiny B Hurtin, with “Chip” Noble picking up the winning drive.

The Jim Mulinix-trained Booze Cruiser (Yankee Cruiser--Sassy Pants) was the winner of the first division of the 3-year-old colt pace. Mark Headworth drove the gelding home in 2:02.2 for the ownership team of Miller's Stable and Danford Murry. Ray Schwartz's City Cruiser (Yankee Cruiser--Doin Up The Town) triumphed in the second portion, in 2:03.2. Mark Winters is the trainer-driver of City Cruiser.
